Small Insert (17" x 22"), 1/4 Polyethylene Screen

Typically, a rocking sifter screen insert has a smaller mesh size than the mesh on the sifter itself so that one sifter can then be used to process two different material sizes at any given time. For instance, a rocking sifter with ¼” mesh can also process 1/8” material when an 1/8” insert is added—preventing the need for buying two separate sifters.

Our polyethylene mesh screens are specifically designed to assist in the recovery of sensitive law enforcement evidence or delicate artifacts. Polyethylene mesh minimizes abrasion of bullet casings and helps prevent damage to fragile ceramics and bone. Because polyethylene mesh does not offer the same load-bearing ability as steel mesh, we offer a high-density plastic strapping for reinforcement. Simply choose “Plastic Strapping” (item No. PSTRP) under our Optional Screen Features.
